FAQs

WHY BOOK US?

We completely understand how important it is to look your best on a big day, which is why all our artists take the time beforehand and in your consultation to listen and understand how you want to look. Whether that is a more relaxed, natural makeup and hair, a glam smokey eye or a specific vintage look. Working with you, they will make suggestions and offer advice on how to make the overall look work best for you. You will be able to relax, feeling confident that they will achieve your vision.

DO I NEED A BRIDAL TRIAL?

Trials are a great way to get to know your artist beforehand and are really important for them to learn exactly how you’d like to look on your day. You will have the opportunity to try any looks you’re considering to make sure you’re completely happy with the finished outcome. It allows you to discuss the look with the artist and make any necessary adjustments until it’s perfect. Emotions might be high on the morning of a wedding and a trial assures you can completely trust that your artist is prepared and you can relax knowing you will love how you look for your day.

HOW LONG DO BRIDAL TRIALS LAST?

We allow up to 3 hours for a hair and makeup trial for one person.

HOW LONG IN ADVANCE OF MY WEDDING SHOULD I BOOK MY TRIAL?

We recommend that the trial is booked around 3 – 6 months before the day of your wedding and also advise that the trial is carried out during daylight hours so you can clearly see how you’ll look on the day.

CAN AND SHOULD MEMBERS OF MY BRIDAL PARTY HAVE A TRIAL?

Bridal party trials are not essential but can be useful if someone in your party has a specific concern, such as sensitive skin or allergies and wants to make sure they won’t have a reaction on the day. Bridal party trials can also be helpful for anyone not used to having their hair and makeup done, as it can relieve any nerves beforehand. Having a trial together with your Mum or Maid of Honour also gives you the option of having the opinion of someone you really trust, if you’re unsure or can’t decide which look is best for you. Bridal party trials are charged at bridal party prices when booked on the same day and held in the same location as the bride’s trial. However should your bridal party member wish to have their trial separately, this will be charged at the bridal trial price.

I HAVE A LARGE BRIDAL PARTY, WILL ONE ARTIST MANAGE ON THEIR OWN?

The number of complete looks an artist can achieve on a wedding morning will depend on when you need to be ready to leave and what time you’d like to get up. Your artist will be used to early starts, but if you don’t want to be up too early or are travelling to your venue in the morning then additional artists can be added onto your booking to ensure everyone is ready on time. An assistant fee of £125 per additional artist will be added to the booking and will be discussed with you on enquiry.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?

Our artists use their own professional-standard hair and makeup kits and all products used are of the highest quality. Brands will include, but not be limited to MAC, Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury, Nars & Pat McGrath alongside any high street favourites that the artist uses from experience. Products are used based on their ability to look perfect throughout your event but also will be tailored to your skin type, skin tone, undertone, hair type, hair length and the kind of look you’re wanting to achieve.

ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN/CRUELTY FREE?

Our artists have a wide variety of products in their hair and makeup kits and can tailor products used to suit your every need. If you would prefer your artist to only use vegan and cruelty free products, please let us know on booking.

CAN YOU PROVIDE HAIR PIECES?

If it is necessary for the artist to use additional hair pieces in order to achieve your required look or if you’re interested in using additional hair pieces to achieve a thicker/longer style, please let us know on booking and we can provide this. Rented/purchased hair pieces must be paid for in advance.

DO I NEED TO PROVIDE ANYTHING?

You do not need to provide anything at your trial or appointment but if you are wanting to include a hair accessory, hat, tiara, headpiece or veil to your hair on the day, it would be useful for your artist to see these beforehand so they can make any necessary adjustments to your finished look. You will not need to provide any of your own makeup, grips, bobbles or hairspray but if you have a specific allergy and would prefer to use your own tried and tested product e.g. mascara, please let us know on booking. If your artist does your hair trial and you would like to wear it for the day to see how it lasts, please keep the grips used and bring them on the day of your event so they can be reused.

I'VE GOT SENSITIVE SKIN, IS THAT A PROBLEM?

Not at all, your artist will be highly trained in perfecting makeup on all skin types, please let us know on booking if you have any specific skin concerns or allergies your artist should be aware of beforehand.

DO YOU PROVIDE LASHES?

Lash application and glue are included within our services, however lashes are sold separately. You can purchase our vegan full strip silk lashes here.
